Hello,
I can't use the camera with Windows Vista.
When installing, the system finds the driver for the device but it fails in the installation displaying the message "The .Inf file is missing a section... It seems that the .INF file was designed for Windows 95....." Is there any workaround for that?
Model is C-70 (C-7000)
Regards, Alfredo

I got that same exact error when Vista tried to install my Motorola E398B cellular phone. The response on the report, you need check the manufacturers website for an updated driver or wait until after Vista is released. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

The problem is that there was not specific driver for Windows XP, so I don't think they are releasing it for Windows Vista.
And I don't understand why supposly there is a driver in windows for this device but it does not work.
At least in previous betas, the camera worked as a usb storage device... Now I can't even access the files in it.

I looked for your camera on the Internet, and if I got the right one you should be using xD Cards to store your photo. So there's no motivation to get mad about camera drivers, when you can buy for few dollars/euros a universal or xD-card reader. Just plug it in any USB port, and you'll be fine.
p.bes
When the final release of XP came out Olympus and Microsoft could not come to an agreement so Microsoft took out a couple of "%" in the INF files that made XP recognize the Olympus Camera. In the beta versions of XP the Olympus worked fine and was recognized by the software, but in the final release no go. One could go into the srusbud inf file and add the "%'s" and the camera would work. You cannot do this in Vista unfortunately. I have tried for hours to get my camera to work and it just will not recognize the edited files. This is a real bummner but hopefully Olympus will come up with the correct files soon, but I wouldn't hold my breath too long!

I wonder what they changed? I just tried my old olympus c-3020, plugged into the usb port, and had no trouble accessing/editing the photos.
